This is hands down the best puzzle I have ever put together – and I am going to get more of them! The pieces are thick, sturdy, and exceedingly creative in shape. In the king-size owl puzzle, the whole thing is an owl, there is a small owl inside that you construct out of individual pieces, and then there are two other owl-shaped pieces that are used to create the rest of the puzzle. The level of detail in the unique recognizable shapes (owl, moose, squirrel, leaves, etc.) is fantastic! The box it came in is sturdy (constructed of the same material as the puzzle pieces, and the full-color lid comes with pieces that you place in the back to turn it into a stand for reference as you assemble the puzzle. Over several decades, I have done many puzzles: lenticular, jigsaw, uniquely-shaped pieces, sold colors, 10,000 pieces, etc. and this (and I’m sure the others I will also be ordering) is far and above my favorite! My children also love it…we do it as a family so that I can be of help with the more detailed pieces. It’s in a league of its own.

If you’ve never experienced a well-made wooden jigsaw puzzle, you might be wondering why people would spend so much money on them. The answer is that it’s an experience completely unlike any ordinary cardboard jigsaw puzzle. It fiercely resists every form of methodical approach you might try with an ordinary puzzle, such as finding the edge pieces first, sorting by color, or sorting by shape. Instead, it invites you to just sit with it, let your eyes rove, enjoy the beauty and intricacy of each piece, and enter a sort of meditative state. Trying to actively search for a specific piece nearly always proves fruitless – it simply reveals itself when your eyes are ready to see it.

This is our second wooden puzzle. Our first was the Phoenix. These things are well built and beautiful, but man! They¡¯re challenging! If you¡¯re a puzzle-lover, you won¡¯t regret this one! When you¡¯re done, they fit so tightly and look so great¡you could easily epoxy them and hang them as decor!
While the package arrived too late for Christmas (no fault of the seller) this puzzle still managed to make someone very happy. I¡¯m extremely pleased with both the product and the joy it brought my girlfriend. She started building it immediately and absolutely loves it. Thank you!
I bought this puzzle for myself. It was one of the most enjoyable puzzles I’ve ever done. I like that some little pieces are in the shape of animals and leaves mushrooms etc. I kept all those pieces to one side and put them in the puzzle last. This made the puzzle a little bit more challenging but more interesting. Puzzle very thoughtfully designed even with some hidden surprises that I am sure some people will not discover even after they have put it together. I have since bought two more to give as gifts.

Love this puzzle! It came in an interesting box and due to the superior quality and uniqueness, would make an excellent gift! The puzzle could be seen as challenging because of the different size/shape of the pieces but it is truly an amazing piece of art and so much fun to put together. Loved it so much, I bought another! Can’t wait to get started!
